Coach day trips from Edinburgh to whisky distilleries, compared on what they actually cost. Most sell the distillery visit as an extra, so the headline fare is not the full price. Checked on each operator's own website on 28 September 2026.
Which tour to choose
One distillery, half a day: the Glenkinchie trips from Highland Experience Tours and Scottish Tours take five hours and include the distillery tour and three drams for £55. This is the simplest option and the only one here with admission in the price.
Two distilleries, a full day: Rabbie's Discover Malt Whisky (Glengoyne and Deanston, from £51) and Timberbush's Ultimate Whisky Experience (Dewar's Aberfeldy and Glenturret, from £58). Add the distillery tours on top: Timberbush lists £27.50 and £15, about £100 in total.
Scenery with one whisky stop: the Highland sightseeing tours suit groups where not everyone wants whisky. The distillery visit is optional and paid separately.
