Is it worth visiting?
Suits first-time visitors who want to see both gin and whisky production in central Edinburgh. The standard tour is fair value at £25 for an hour with a cocktail and two samples. Whisky drinkers should pay £30 for Journey to Whisky, which goes into more production detail and includes four samples. Visitors who need a spoken translation should look elsewhere, as tours are in English only.

Before you go
- The standard tour admits ages 8–17; younger children are excluded, with an exception for babes in arms
- Journey to Whisky and Distillery After Hours are for ages 18 and over
- Public tours are in English only, with no audio guides; written translations are offered by QR code, which needs a smartphone
Planning the visit
- Booking
- Book through Holyrood's website using its FareHarbor booking service. Tickets are refunded in full with 24 hours' notice. The standard tour takes up to 22 guests; upgraded tickets with extra samples cost £35 and £42.50.
- Opening
- Published opening hours: Sunday–Friday 11:30–17:30; Saturday 11:30–18:30. Check the booking calendar for tour times.
- Getting there
- Walk from the Royal Mile in about 15 minutes. Lothian bus 14 stops on Rankeillor Street, a two-minute walk away.
- Parking
- No public parking on site.
