Distilleries in Wales
Wales has a small distilling sector led by Penderyn, which revived Welsh whisky, and a number of gin producers. Single Malt Welsh Whisky holds a UK geographical indication, which protects the name in a similar way to Scotch Whisky.

Penderyn Distillery
Visitor centres at Penderyn (Brecon Beacons), Llandudno and Swansea. The Brecon production area is not wheelchair accessible; Llandudno and Swansea are.

Planning a visit
Penderyn has three visitor centres, at Penderyn in the Brecon Beacons, Llandudno and Swansea. Aber Falls runs one-hour tours at Abergwyngregyn. In the Welsh Wind runs a two-hour gin-making experience, and Dà Mhìle runs prebooked weekday tastings. Dyfi does not run formal tours, but from late March to October visitors can call in without booking to taste and see production through glass.
