How much is the Penderyn tour?

At Brecon, £13.50 online or £15 on the door for adults, and £5.50 online or £6.50 on the door for ages 14–17.

Do you need to book Penderyn?

It is recommended. Visitors without a ticket are admitted only if there is space, and each tour takes up to 20 people.

Can children visit Penderyn?

Ages 14–17 can join the tour but are not given alcohol. Under-14s cannot enter the production area for safety reasons.

Is Penderyn wheelchair accessible?

At the Brecon Beacons site the production area is not accessible to wheelchair users, but an alternative experience is available. The Llandudno and Swansea production areas are accessible.

Can you get to Penderyn without a car?

Yes at the Llandudno site, which is walkable from the station; the Brecon Beacons site is easiest by car.

Is it worth visiting?

Good value at £13.50 online for an hour-long tour and tasting, and a clear introduction to Welsh whisky. Visit the Brecon Beacons site if you are driving; choose Llandudno if you are coming by train or need an accessible production area. Families with children under 14 cannot take them on the production tour.
