Suits peated-whisky drinkers exploring southern Skye who prefer a small tour group. The regular tour is a reasonable price for a short visit at £21.20 for 45 minutes, although the booking page does not say how many whiskies the tasting includes. The £90.10 warehouse tour suits enthusiasts, as it adds cask samples and a sample box to take away. The café is useful for companions who are not touring. Families with children aged 12 and under should skip the tour.

Before you go

- The warehouse tour uses an open-sided vehicle, so bring waterproof clothing

Planning the visit

- Book through torabhaig.com, which uses FareHarbor, or contact the distillery on 01471 833447. Prices on the booking page include the booking fee. Tours take up to eight people, and the warehouse tour runs once or twice a week for up to seven. Cancellations with 24 hours' notice are refunded in full; no-shows pay the full price.
- Opening
- Shop: Monday–Friday 10:00–17:00, weekends 10:00–15:00. Café: weekdays 10:00–16:00, weekends 10:00–14:30. The access statement lists five-day winter opening; confirm November–March dates.
- Getting there
- On the A851 in Sleat, about 30 minutes' drive from the Skye Bridge. The official directions also give an approach from Armadale ferry port. A taxi is an option if you are not driving.
