Is it worth visiting?

The standard tour suits first-time visitors who want to see production without paying for an extended tasting. The café also gives non-touring companions somewhere to eat. Pay more for Select Tasting only if the wider whisky selection matters to you; skip it if you want to see the stills.

Opening: Visitor centre and shop: daily 10:00–17:00. Casks Café: daily from 10:00, last orders 16:30; lunch 12:00–15:00. Dunnage & Drams runs April–October only.
Getting there: The distillery is in Lochranza, KA27 8HJ. CalMac serves Lochranza from Claonaig, with a reduced winter service from Tarbert, Loch Fyne. Check sailings before choosing a tour time.
